Use Case 03

The Right Galley Plan for Every Flight

Every aircraft, route, and service offering needs its own Galley Load Plan, down to the last container and stowage location. Paxia builds that plan, keeps it current as things change, and puts it in every caterer’s hands through one shared portal.

The Challenge

When Every Caterer Packs From a Different Copy

You have galley plans, and your caterers know their job. What you don’t have is one place that keeps every flight’s plan current and gets it to every station. Plans are built and maintained by hand, then emailed out, and the copy that gets packed drifts from the one that’s current. Three cracks show up again and again.

The plan lives in spreadsheets and Word documents
Galley diagrams and packing sheets are kept in free-format office tools, with the same containers duplicated page after page, so keeping them consistent is nearly impossible.
One change means updating it in a dozen places
Swap a container or change a configuration, and every plan, diagram, and sheet that uses it has to be found and edited by hand, so updates are slow and easy to miss.
What reaches the caterer drifts from what’s current
Plans are sent by email and as PDFs, so versions drift between the office and the floor, and a galley can be packed to a plan that’s already been superseded.
How Paxia Cloud Helps

From Scattered Copies to One Load Plan

Paxia builds the Galley Load Plan for every flight — dynamically adjusted to match the aircraft, cabin, and service onboard — and every caterer pulls the current version, with labels, from one shared portal. Watch Paxia flag issues, then publish the corrected revision.

How It Connects

The Modules Behind This Use Case

A Galley Load Plan isn’t a standalone document. It’s labels, item inventory, change management, packing, and galley diagrams, all produced from one record. Here’s how Paxia turns each flight’s schedule into the right Load Plan and places it in every caterer’s hands:

Schedules — which Load Plan each flight gets

Planning rules assign the right service by class to every flight — route, meal period, haul length, aircraft type — so Galleys adjusts the Load Plan to what each flight needs, instead of anyone matching it up by hand.

Galleys — the Load Plan, built and shared

Galleys builds the Load Plan for each aircraft configuration and service offering — down to the lowest-level container and its stowage location — and publishes it to a shared caterer portal. Every station affected by a change is notified, and the plan, its labels, and its reports are pulled from the portal.
Because Galleys knows the weight of everything loaded, it feeds flight-specific catering weight into departure control, so the aircraft is fueled according to the actual Load Plan rather than a worst-case maximum, and you burn less fuel.

Because the Load Plan is flight-specific, date-sensitive, and shared from a single source, a flight is packed the same way each time it flies, whatever the aircraft, the service, or the departure port. Caterers can pull packing data straight into their own systems over an API.
