Leading global airline adopts AI-enabled Paxia Cloud platform to modernize galley planning, catering operations, inventory management, and operational intelligence

Abu Dhabi, UAE / Herndon, VA, USA – August 12, 2026. Paxia today announced that Etihad Airways has selected Paxia Cloud as its next-generation, AI-enabled airline catering management platform, implementing the full suite of Paxia applications to transform onboard catering, galley operations, and enterprise asset management.

As one of the world’s leading premium carriers, Etihad continues to invest in digital innovation and operational excellence to support its expanding global network and its award-winning onboard experience. To further enhance operational efficiency, data visibility, and cross-functional collaboration, Etihad chose Paxia’s fully integrated cloud-based platform to modernize and replace its legacy catering management capabilities.

Under the agreement, Etihad will deploy the full Paxia Cloud suite, including Paxia Specifications, Schedules, Galleys, Orders, Invoices, Assets, and Insights. The integrated platform will provide Etihad with a centralized ecosystem for managing the full airline catering lifecycle – including menu specifications and meal ordering, galley planning, catering logistics, invoice reconciliation, asset tracking, and advanced analytics.

By implementing the full Paxia platform, Etihad will leverage a modern, purpose-built catering management platform designed to enhance operational efficiency through integrated, AI-enabled functionality. Paxia will help resolve issues with the incumbent legacy system and eliminate gaps currently addressed through manual processes. Etihad will also gain a unified source of truth across catering operations, enabling greater standardization, operational agility, automation, and real-time visibility across departments and catering partners worldwide.

“Etihad is known for its innovation, premium service, and commitment to operational excellence,” said Tom Samuel, CEO at Paxia. “We are excited that Etihad has selected Paxia Cloud as its enterprise catering management platform. By deploying our full suite of applications, Etihad will gain an AI-enabled digital foundation that supports its continued growth, operational efficiency initiatives, and exceptional onboard experience strategy.”

The implementation of Paxia Cloud will enable Etihad to modernize and optimize several critical operational areas, such as:

  • End-to-End Catering Management: An AI-enabled platform that integrates meal specifications, galley planning, scheduling, ordering, invoicing, asset management, and analytics into a single source of truth.
  • Enhanced Financial Control: Automated invoicing and reconciliation processes that improve transparency, reduce discrepancies, and lower catering invoice-related spend.
  • Automated Weight and Balance Calculations: Dynamically calculate galley weight, alert for overloading, and deliver accurate weight and balance data to downstream systems, supporting fuel savings.
  • Advanced Asset and Inventory Management: Greater visibility into inventory levels and movements across all locations, with system-generated order quantities based on comprehensive supply chain parameters.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Advanced reporting, dashboards, and analytics via Paxia Insights to support forecasting, operational optimization, and strategic planning.
  • Future-Ready Scalability: A flexible cloud platform that supports Etihad’s continued fleet growth, network expansion, and onboard product innovation.

The deployment of Paxia Cloud further reinforces Etihad’s broader commitment to innovation and operational modernization, positioning the airline with an integrated platform to support evolving onboard service requirements and future operational growth.
