Catering Management, Paxia Cloud, Paxia Orders

This week, we will begin to look at some helpful tips for the Paxia Orders.

Tip 1:
How do I create an order from a released Flight Service Schedule (FSS)?

Sometimes, it may be necessary to create an order before the system triggers the job to create an order based on polling policies. Below are the steps to create an order through a released FSS.

  • Navigate to the Search Released FSS function.
  • Search for the flight using the search criteria.
  • Locate the flight.
  • Click on the ‘Create Order’ link.
  • A job will be submitted to create the order for the selected flight.

Tip 2:
How do I view the scheduled services on a flight from the Order Dashboard?

  • Navigate to the order dashboard screen.
  • Populate the station and click on the search button.
  • On the third column, click on the arrow.
  • This action will open a pop-up to show the scheduled services along with the caterer
    • Clicking on a service code in this view opens the service definition pop-up
    • Clicking on the arrow again collapses the view

Tip 3:
How do I identify that the business-critical instructions are present on an Order?

There are two categories for additional Order instructions:
1) ‘Published Text’ visible to airline and caterer users.
2) ‘Non-published Text,’ which is only visible to airline users.

  • Navigate to the order dashboard screen.
  • Populate the station and click on the ‘Search’ button.
  • In the Text column, if the user sees the following:
    • “Y/Y” indicates the presence of published text and non-published text
    • “Y/N” indicates that there is only published text
    • “N/Y” indicates that there is only non-published text
    • “N/N” indicates that there is neither published text nor non-published text
  • Click on the link to navigate to the Order Details to view the instructions.

Note: The text column is invisible by default; click on the settings icon on top of the grid and select the check box against “Text” to view this column.

Tip 4:
Did you know that FSS remarks can be automatically pre-populated as published text?

When a rule assigns remarks/comments to a flight, those comments are carried forward to Ordering and can be viewed under published text. This feature is optional and can be turned on/off as required.

  • Review the rule log. (Rule log is accessed via Search FSS function)
  • Use the Compare FSS function to identify changes between the selected Flight Service Schedules.

Tip 5:
Can I have more than one caterer for a station?

Did you know that “N” indicates that there are no special meals for that flight?

  • Navigate to the order dashboard screen.
  • Populate the station and click on the ‘Search’ button.
  • On the SPML column, if the user sees “N,” no special meals are assigned to that order.
  • If ‘N’ is replaced by a number, this indicates the total number of special meals on the flight.

Tip 6:
Did you know that each link on the order dashboard navigates the user to different Order sections?

  • The ‘Flight number’ link navigates the user to the ‘Item Overview’ section.
  • The ‘Leg# / Dep-Arr / Order #’ links navigate the user to the ‘General Information’ Section.
  • The ‘Crew’ link navigates the user to the ‘Crew Meal’ section.
  • The ‘SPML’ link navigates the user to the ‘SPML’ section.
  • The ‘Audit Trail’ link navigates the user to the ‘Audit Trail’ section.
